Full course description

The Certificate in Revitalization, offered through the Center for Formational and Missional Training, is designed to uplift and empower African American women in ministry. With women representing over 40% of the ministry in AME districts and over 50% in Kentucky and West Tennessee, this program addresses the unique challenges faced by bi-vocational pastors. It provides targeted instruction on leadership, church revitalization, and personal well-being, equipping these women with essential tools to enhance their ministry effectiveness and personal health.

The program is structured into five comprehensive modules. Participants will explore personal health and flourishing, church revitalization strategies, mental health and self-care, digital discipleship, and essential leadership and administrative skills. Each module includes practical units on topics such as growing through adversity, financial stability, and digital ministry, providing participants with actionable insights to thrive in their multifaceted roles. The Certificate in Revitalization is a non-credit offering that blends professional development with personal growth, tailored specifically for the dynamic needs of African American women leaders in the church.
